Insurance Tailored to Your Business
Running a successful guesthouse means balancing excellent customer service with the day-to-day responsibilities of managing your property and business. Whether you own a traditional guesthouse, boutique B&B or a larger property with multiple letting rooms, having the right insurance in place is essential to protect your investment.
At Oakfield Insurance Brokers, we understand that no two guesthouses are the same. That's why we take the time to understand your business before arranging insurance that reflects your individual requirements. We have access to a range of insurers that specialise in guesthouse insurance, enabling us to source quotations for both straightforward and more complex risks.
Our policies can be tailored to provide protection for your buildings, contents, furnishings, guest accommodation and business equipment, together with cover for loss of income following an insured event. We can also arrange liability insurance to help protect your business if a guest, visitor or employee suffers an injury or their property is damaged.
Public Liability Insurance
This is an essential cover for guesthouses and other hospitality venues. Public liability insurance protects guesthouse owners against claims from guests or visitors who suffer injury or property damage, covering legal costs and compensation arising from accidents connected with the business
Employers’ Liability Insurance
Up to £10 million employers’ liability protection for your business if an employee (whether they’re casual, full-time or part-time) injures themselves or their property is damaged as a result of your business operations.
What does employers’ liability insurance cover?
We provide an indemnity limit of £10 million employers’ liability cover as standard, which includes protection for the following risks:
Compensation claims
No matter what type of business you run, there’s always the risk of an employee compensation claim. This cover will protect your business against claims that have been made by an employee as a result of illness or injury in the workplace, including claims made by work experience staff.
Certificate of employers' liability insurance
You will be sent a certificate of employers’ liability insurance confirming what cover you have in place at point of purchase. You can either display a physical copy of your certificate or put it online where all of your employees can access it, such as on a SharePoint site.
Loss of Income Insurance
Also known as business interruption cover. This insurance helps protect guesthouse owners against lost income and increased costs following insured events, such as fire or flood, that force temporary closure.
Contents Insurance
Cover for both your own personal home contents and the business contents of the guesthouse to protect against a range of risks including a fire, theft, storm, escape of water and flood.
Business Stock Insurance
If your business keeps stock on the premises, you can select the amount of cover you need to to protect business stock against damage, theft and loss.
